Oncology Training

California Cancer Care assumed a national leadership position when it began its oncology training program. The programs focus on trends in treatment, quality and the business of medicine for industry professionals. “The New Oncology” series provides a first-hand look at how cancer therapy impacts the patient. Our hope is for patients to be seen not as abstractions to be counted and portioned in payer contracts, but rather who they really are – wives and husbands, parents, brothers and sisters – who deserve choices.

California Cancer Care also convenes pharmaceutical company-sponsored Advisory Boards with senior managers of large oncology practices and payers. The purpose is to bring together health plan medical and pharmacy directors, administrators, state society directors and physicians in charge of large oncology practices to discuss current issues.
